Event Promotions is undeniably one of the leaders in the New Zealand event management industry. Operating since 1989 each year Event Promotions runs some of the more iconic events in the country, attracting around 45,000 participants annually.

With a focus on running, walking, personal challenges, participation and competition, Event Promotions deliver a stable of events across the North Island. Event Promotions boast a competitor database of 100,000 plus competitors, enabling sponsors to connect with an active, out-going, kiwi market through a medium that they have actively chosen to be involved with.

Our programme

So you’re tough, but are you tough enough to take on the New Balance Secondary Schools Tough Guy and Gal Challenge?
Take on other students from around the country on this muddy obstacle course consisting of swamp crossings, a spider’s web net climb, crawl under barb wire, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame, water crossings and not to mention, mud, mud and more mud! There is a Toughest School Trophy on offer for the winners in the 6km event!

Students can gain NCEA Level 2 and Level 3 credits at the New Balance Secondary School Tough Guy and Gal Challenge.

What you need to know

The Ngaruawahia Christian Youth Camp offers a stunning venue nestled between the Waipa River and the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve. The camp is set amongst 38 hectares of native bush and pastures, ready and waiting for tough guys and gals to take on the challenge.

Numbers are limited to 1,000 competitors!
