Located in the Hahei Coromandel area, this hike has spectacular coastal views featuring the pristine waters of the Te Whanganui-o-Hei Marine Reserve. The coastal section is framed by native pÅhutukawa trees and leads to the impressive and well-known rock arch.

Duration
The walk is 2.5 km, 1 hr 30 min return, easy grade walk.
Safety
Do not visit during or after heavy rain, due to the risk of landslides and rockfall.
It is best to visit at low tide and when the seas are calm.
Toilets
Toilets are not available on the beach. There are toilets at the start of the track at Grange Road, and a flushable toilet facility is located about 10-15 minutes from the end of the track.
Additional information
There are no rubbish bins; you must take all rubbish away with you.
