About us

Hamilton East Croquet Club has 50+ members, who play croquet three times a week all year around. We play the more interactive game of Golf Croquet (GC) which is a skillful and tactical game. Association Croquet (AC) is also played but by fewer members.

There is expert coaching available for both codes. Croquet is a game for all ages and involves gentle exercise and tactical play. Our player age demographic ranges from teens to 90+ years. The Club also hosts team building social croquet events for corporate groups.

HECC belongs to Croquet Waikato King Country (an Association of 8 croquet clubs in the Waikato) which allows members access to other regional clubs and entry into competitive tournaments of which there are many throughout the region.

Thursday & Saturday 9.15 (summer) and 12.15pm (winter)

Beginners are welcome and coaching is available.

What you need to know

For prospective new members all gear is supplied and our only requirement is that flat shoes are worn. 

While prospective new members are learning to play, a lawn fee of $2 per game day is expected and once membership has been accepted, subscriptions for the first year are half that of the full annual subscription.
